Summer at Spoonriver!

The Sun has finally arrived, and we couldn’t be more happy about it!

Our Patio is now Open for the season, weather dependent, of coarse.

We take reservations “Day-of” for the Patio, and accept “Patio Requests” on reservations ahead of that.


With Summer arriving we also have moved to our “Summer Hours” on weekends.

Saturday AM we open at 8:30 and serve until 2pm.

Our kitchen takes a tiny break between 2-2:30, and our afternoon/bar menu at 2:30 until 5pm when Dinner begins

Winter Farmers Market? In Minnesota? Yes, it’s true!

The Mill City Farmers Market has one market each month through the winter and early spring. It is held INDOORS at the Mill City Museum from 10am-1pm.  Check out the MCFM website for all the information about vendors and special events.

The Next Dates are:

March 9th

March 16th **At the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum**

and April 13th

 

The Market will resume its weekly schedule starting in May!

During the major Water Main Break on Hennepin Ave & 2nd Street, many neighboring businesses, restaurants, and even the Guthrie, were forced to close.

Not Spoonriver. Brenda is a trooper and wanted to stay open for our neighbor, friends and our guests who had reservations.

WCCO stopped in and interviewed Brenda about how we were managing with No Water! We used paper plates while our dishwashers in inoperable, and used bottled water to cook and serve! It was the true meaning of “Making it Work”.
